I really struggled with this ethically for a time, but after gauging varying opinions from other photographers much more talented than myself, I’ve decided to allow the use of many of my images that do not feature an identifiable individual or individuals, under the ‘Creative Commons’ license. Essentially this means:
You are free to share — to copy, distribute and transmit the work (images) under the following conditions:
Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).
Noncommercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
No Derivative Works — You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work
This work by Craig Roberts & Watershed Photography is licensed
under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 Canada License.
So, if any of these images appeal to you and you want to use it for, say, your desktop wallpaper, drop me a line indicating which one(s) you are interested in – the image name (should appear as you hover over it) and I’ll flip a copy over to you via email.
